Josh Workman

Josh Workman has been a key executive for TIC Properties, LLC and several affiliated South Carolina-based real estate firms for more than 12 years.

He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for two firms: Poinsett Capital Advisors, LLC and TIC Properties Management, LLC. In these roles, Mr. Workman is responsible for overseeing internal operations and developing forward-driving strategies toward overall companies’ objectives. In addition, he manages the Human Resources, Risk Management and Information Technology divisions for all affiliates.

Mr. Workman joined the affiliated firms in 1999.  His first assignment was to rebrand and re-launch Commission Connection - one of the few nationwide full service real estate factoring companies. Mr. Workman was responsible for the overhaul of all underwriting criteria, sales and marketing efforts. In addition, he was able to secure numerous exclusive vendor agreements with national real estate brokerage franchisors.  Between 1999 and 2003 Mr. Workman and his team increased revenues approximately 900%.  Under Mr. Workman’s leadership, Commission Connection was sold in 2007.

In 2002 he helped launch TIC Properties, LLC, a firm specializing in locating and underwriting institutional-grade commercial real estate assets nationwide. During his tenure, the firm acquired and sold more than 1.2 billion in assets to 800 investors. Between 2002 and 2007, TICP was recognized by several publications and industry tracking sources as one of the fastest growing companies in the United States.

With a forward-looking strategy, the foundation of creating a more robust and scalable platform for property management was laid.  In 2003 Mr. Workman was also at the helm guiding the development, launch, and oversight of TIC Properties Management, LLC —a firm created to manage the assets syndicated by TIC Properties.

Through Mr. Workman’s guidance and experience, the TICPM portfolio doubled in 2009.  TICPM now manages approximately 80 properties totaling 9 million square feet. In addition, Mr. Workman is responsible for the investment real estate holdings of TIC Properties in more than 100 commercial properties nationwide. He remains active in the growth and expansion of all the affiliates.

Mr. Workman’s varied career included successful work in IT sales and support, retail management and consumer lending with a prominent national retail corporation. His expertise and success in business management quickly led from local management responsibilities to multi-regional management responsibilities with a national retail chain. His expertise in managing large teams of employees as well as balancing over 2,600 consumer loan accounts made him a key asset in rescuing underperforming stores nationally.

Mr. Workman earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Management with a minor in Financial Institutions from Clemson University. He currently holds a South Carolina Real Estate License and FINRA series 7 and 63 licenses.
